Facilities Maintenance Custodian (5862) - Now Hiring

LSF is looking for a talented Facilities Maintenance Custodian who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.
Purpose and Impact:
This position is responsible for is responsible for maintaining the facility in a functional, presentable, and safe condition.
This includes picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, or using industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors, cleaning and stocking bathrooms, cleaning windows, and minor building maintenance and repairs.
Essential Functions:
Maintain program facility in a safe, functional and presentable manner.
Assist in preforming general repair/maintenance to include, but not limited to electrical, building, plumbing, landscaping, painting, carpentry, and basic remodeling.
Ensure all maintenance equipment and supplies are accounted for at all times.
Assist in maintaining inventory and security of all maintenance equipment and supplies related to the facility and grounds.
Respond to all work orders in a timely manner.
Request maintenance supplies and equipment as needed from maintenance supervisor or designee.
Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
Gather and remove litter.
Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, and other grounds features.
Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Considerable physical activity.
Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
A combination of one of the following:
Two (2) to three (3) years' experience in maintenance work preferred.
Formal maintenance training.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, basic construction knowledge and skills.

Salary:
$19 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
